It may not be to everyone´s taste but Abba´s songs are a great source of material for language classes! Moreover, from a musical point of view, they´re highly charged with catchy melodies and lively rhythms. Shame then that a film should be made which tries to cram in as many of their hits as possible in order to pack in the summer crowds. Judge for yourselves by reading the following humorous review from this week´s The Guardian by clicking on the following link.
MAMMA MIA REVIEW
Anyway, I´ll be going to see the film as I´m an ABBA fan so maybe just ignore negative criticism and go to your local cinema, munch your popcorn and sing along with Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan......

Hi Bruce!!
I like your Blog! Congratulations for it!
About Mamma Mia! The Movie I agree with you that people should go and watch it.
Here in Scandinavia this film should become a success because even now they continue playing ABBA songs in the discos (and even Aqua's!!!)
Looking forward to reading a new entry :-D
